Keeping in view the Hon'ble Advisor, Principal Secretary & Director Coordination, New medical colleges' vision regarding conduct of outreach activities by different medical colleges, Govt. Medical College, Rajouri conducted a special medical camp at PHC Budhal around 65km from Distt.Headquarters on 13th May 2019 as per the calendar issued by GMC. A total of 638 patients were attended to and provided specialized medical services by specialists of medicine (89), surgery(57), Orthopaedic(163), ENT(59), gynecology and obstetrics(134), ophthalmology(65) and dermatology(71). Special emphasis was made to make awareness amongst general masses regarding non-communicable diseases by the deptt of community medicine. The camp was conducted in a cordial and patient supportive atmosphere with full coordination and support of DHS. Such camps as this will go a long way in mitigating the suffering of ailing patients at far flung areas and providing the doorstep medical care by GMC Rajouri to the people of a large catchment area.
